Wednesday Childs is an artist and furniture maker living and working in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2023 Wednesday graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a BFA in Interdisciplinary Sculpture. Since then she has gone on to be an endowed studio fellow at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. Although wood is currently her primary medium she has a history of and continues a practice of working in other mediums including painting and weaving. Most recently though, within woodworking, she has experimented with power carving as a means of creating biomorphic forms in both furniture and musical instruments.
